The Spirit of Vengeance is finally getting another ride. Marvel Studios officially announced a new Ghost Rider movie coming in 2028, . After years of rumors, canceled plans, and fan speculation about Johnny Blaze returning to the big screen, Marvel is finally moving forward with a full MCU version of the flaming skull antihero. Details are still limited, but the announcement alone has fans debating everything from which version of Ghost Rider we will see to how Marvel will handle one of its darkest supernatural characters.
That’s right kids you read that RIGHT! aaaaaand……AND….. as the article title spoils, Amazing actor and my personal teenage HEARTTHROB Ryan Gosling has officially joined the MCU and today in HALL H to step in the shoes of GHOST RIDER at the SDCC (San Diego Comic Con). It was also revealed that DEADPOOL and WOLVERINE director Shawn Levy will be helming the flick with a projected release date of 2028 as mentioned. I had to hop on here and record my opinion of it…. Not that you don’t know where I stand on the topic anyways, lol.
THE INTERNET ABUZZ ALREADY
The reaction has been exactly what you would expect from Marvel fans: excitement mixed with plenty of questions. Ryan Gosling has been a popular fan choice for years, but Shawn Levy directing has created a more divided response. Some fans point to his success with Deadpool & Wolverine and his ability to handle big-budget entertainment, while others wonder if his style will capture the darker horror elements that make Ghost Rider unique. The biggest question is whether Marvel will embrace the supernatural horror side of the character or turn Ghost Rider into another wisecracking addition to the MCU lineup.
