Man It really bums me out that disney is apparently doign WONDER MAN dirty. This is a show fans have asked for for years , and now that its hear its being given the lackluster treatment. Originally Nathan Fillion was the preferred choice for WONDER MAN, heck I’m still in that camp….. but honestly, I’m excited to see Yahya Abdul-Mateen II bring some of his magic to the table. I really dig him as an actor, he just has a calm chaos about it him and it his perforamces always capitvate me. For those who havent even HEARD of this project…..well…. I don’t blame you, which is why I made this video. After my 2 cents on the matter there is a REAKT for the trailer, live and in house lol.
Now here’s the part where I am actually going to plug the show because I am actually Excited for this and wnat you to be as well!
WONDERMAN STREAMS on Disney Plus January 27th With an 8 episode Bill (all dropping at once.
Some people have been framing this as “Man Marvel must be really conifdent in this show, to drop it all at once” when, in my opinion, my writing is on the wall. This is striaght up being given the ECHO treatment……..minimal marketing, dropping it all once….ok well maybe just those two things haha, but still.
My biggest question and my one of my biggest gripes (although its nothing big enough to derail me from enjoying the story) is WHY TREVOR? Like I love how they made me a bumbling idiot and all and how he got enlightened hanging out with Shang Chi and all that…… BUT the dude legit had terrosism ties to Adrian Killian, do we just not forget that? How is he just ‘back’ in the picture like no big deal. I mean they playfully address it in the trailer (kind of) but tis just’s such lazy writing (like Luke’s lightsaber) and while it is enough to bother me I won’t let it be enough to straight up stop me from enjoying what’s going on.
NOW IF THE SHOW IS GARBAGE that will be a different story. lol. ANYWAYS ENJOY!
