I made a video instead of typing but that’s the jist. More on that later. I’ve been personally Campaigning as you may or may not know for our TEAM participating in this year’s EXTRA LIFE charity Stream.
This is a call to action for anyone who wants to be part of something awesome and actually make a difference, because TEAM RPG-Unit is gearing up for the Extra Life 24 hour charity live stream and we are all in. We’re ready to show up, glow up, and straight up blow up as a team while we grind for a full 24 hours to help kids in need, and our goal is to hit the big 4 digits and raise $1000. Whether you play games, watch streams, donate, or just hype us up in chat, you’re part of the mission. Extra Life is a charity foundation that helps kids in hospitals by raising money through video games and gaming events. People sign up and play games for a long time, sometimes 24 hours, and ask friends and family to donate money while they play. The money goes to children’s hospitals to help pay for things like medical equipment, treatments, and making the hospital less scary for kids who have to stay there for a long time. It’s kind of cool because it turns something fun like gaming into something that actually helps people.
Extra Life started with gamers but now a lot of different people do it, like streamers, schools, and even hospitals themselves. The idea is that instead of just donating once, people make it into an event and try to get others involved too. It shows how games aren’t just a waste of time and can be used for good. Even though it sounds simple, it makes a big difference for kids and families who are going through really hard stuff.
