Dakk’s Corner- Let’s talk about ‘HOPPERS’

Welp….it’s only a week late but I finally finished my review of the new Disney/Pixar film HOPPERS. What a great theater experience and it was one I got to share with the whole family (even my mommy). Overall Pixar nailed it and the ride was a fun one. I was laughing, I was crying and it resonated with me on a personal level to its theme on the importance of nature and the balance it needs to thrive. But uh….. yeah without further ADO here is my newest DAKK’S CORNER!

Synopsis in case you Don’t know:

a passionate 19-year-old animal lover named Mabel Tanaka (Piper Curda) becomes determined to save her beloved forest nature spot known as ‘the glades’ from being destroyed by a newly developing freeway. To stop the Mayor ,Jerry Generazzo (voiced by Jon Hamm), Mabel utilizes technology developed by her biology professor, Dr. Sam Fairfax (Kathy Najimy), which allows a human’s consciousness to “hop” into a lifelike robotic Beaver. This allows her the unique ability to communicate directly with the local wildlife and experience their world from the inside.

Once she has successfully become one with the local animal kingdom, Mabel befriends the charismatic beaver leader known as King George (Bobby Moynihan), who helps her navigate the intricate social structures of the glades. As she unravels the nautre around her and the “Pond Rules” within the ecosystem, she must also contend with the formidable Animal Council, led by the regal but vengeful Insect Queen (Meryl Streep) and her spoiled son, Titus (Dave Franco).

When faced with an imminent human threat to their shared home, Mabel must find a way to rally these diverse creatures—including the chill beaver Loaf (Eduardo Franco), the grumpy bear Ellen (Melissa Villaseñor), and the professional shark Diane (Vanessa Bayer)—to bridge the gap between their two worlds and save the environment they all rely on.
